]]>This season prints are a bright Ditsy floral and a gorgeous Patchwork print of florals, stripes and spots.
Your picnics just got a a whole lot prettier!
]]>Things are kind of slow in my neck of the woods this week as we are waiting on samples of the new picnic mats and bags. I have been busy planning and taking educated guesses about what the future might hold.
On the home front, we made Tik Tok Pasta on the weekend and it was delicious - definitely lived up to the hype. (and anyone who's known me since I was a kid knows I used to HATE tomatoes!) I did another jigsaw (but gave up when I got to the sky and tree part and lockdown ended!) and read Older, the book by the author of Younger that moves the cast on past the TV series....its an easy read if you enjoyed the show.
Ok back to my planning......

]]>I'm not sure anyone ever reads these posts but I thought it would be good to write some stuff down during these weird global times. I have encouraged my kids to do the same as they are literally living through HISTORY at the moment but they are not seeing the gravity of it (which is kind of nice). Here are my observations so far
1. People react very differently in times of crisis. Some people listen to the warnings and accept that we all must do our bit and others seem to think it doesn't apply to them. I wonder what the learnings will be? what things will change irrevocably?
2. I'm loving that there is no local politics playing a part in this pandemic. I am definitely no expert but it seems that the opposition are letting the government get on with the job of trying to manage the best they can without getting in their way.
3. I am quite socially isolated during the week anyway (as I work from home, alone most of the time except for my Boxer Dog Louis), I am now kind of STUCK AT THE OFFICE.......with my husband and kids.......
4. We do a lot of things which are not a NEED, they are a WANT......I have unnaturally blonde hair and am a little frightened of my regrowth when it gets to week 6 and beyond (bring on the caps and beanies)
5. My kids are learning new skills as they are so bored some days they are actually happy to do some washing up and cooking.
6. My house has never been cleaner.....we cleaned the air vents and drains the other day......who even are we?
7. People touch a LOT of stuff all the time.......its almost impossible to keep your hands perfectly clean for an extended period of time.
8. Nurses and Paramedics don't get paid enough. My mum was a nurse and she always told me this, but its only when you see what they have to go through at the moment, literally putting themselves and their families in danger every day when they go to work.
9. How good are all the video conferencing apps? I'm loving connecting with all my friends over a drink at the end of the day and I'm finding I am calling and seeing all my far-away friends much more often, which is a silver lining.
more musings tomorrow
Stay Safe

]]>Last year we went on a camping trip to Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory with 2 other families. We had such a great time we immediately started planning our next adventure with them.
This year we decided to go to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia and we added another family in the mix so we had a travelling circus of 18. For those of you who are new to my brand, I am actually from Adelaide, but believe it or not, I had never been to the Flinders Ranges before.
The other families we go camping with, grew up camping together so are a very well versed in all of the stuff you need and life skills required to take 18 people into the bush. We had a few planning days where we got together and mapped out and booked camp grounds and divided up the food so we all provided a couple of meals, sealed in cryo-vac from home.
For our family, this was only our second camping adventure so we hired a Trak Trailor from a local Camping place. This has a queen sized bed, stove, sink, running water (120L tank), solar panel powered battery and a tent annex. My boys are 11 and 13 Years old so along with the other 8 kids, they decided to sleep in swags under the stars.
Our first stop from Geelong was Merbein (just outside of Mildura) on the Murray River. We found an awesome Bush Camp right by the River and camped there for one night.
The next day we set off for Hawker in the Flinders Ranges. We stayed at Rawnsley Park Station for 3 nights and hiked Rawnsley Bluff, into Wilpena Pound and had dinner at their great Woolshed restaurant.
After that we took a short drive to Willow Springs Station and camped at one of their large camp sites for 2 nights (this involved 4WD to get to an amazing dry creek bed camp). Here we played cricket, walked and hiked up a very steep hill. This station has the Skytrek 4WD track on it which is a 6 hour 4WD so we decided as the youngest members of our crew might not last that long, that we would relax and enjoy some downtime.
Day 7 took us on a small hike to Sacred Canyon and then through Bunyeroo Gorge and into Brachina Gorge where we stayed the night at another bush camp we had pre booked near a river bed. The drive through those gorges was one of the highlights of the trip for me.
Day 8 took us on a small hike in Bunyeroo Gorge then onto the famous Prairie Hotel in Parachilna for Lunch where we tried the Feral Anti Pasto which included Camel, Goat, Emu and Kangaroo. Such a lovely little oasis in the bush, with cold beer and great hospitality by the owners, even though we arrived without a booking with a group of 18!
After lunch it was the AFL Grand Final so we headed to the Blinman Hotel where the game was being shown. On the way we stopped to help a stranded friend who we had caught up with a few days before. Broken shock absorbers were removed and we were on our way.
After watching a lack lustre grand final we headed to Angorichina Station for 2 nights bush camping. The next day we drove the Glass Gorge 4wd tack on the way to the Nuccaleena Ruins (an old pub and mine in the middle of NOWHERE…I still cant believe people lived that remotely) had a tour of the Blinman Mine and made a few visits to the fabulous Blinman Bakery.
Finally after 9 great nights, I needed some running water and white sheets so we stayed at Bungaree station in the Clare Valley on the way back to Geelong.
Highlights of this trip for me:
The Night stars – I have never seen so many so clearly – truly spectacular
The laughs with 4 awesome families
The drives through Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges.
I would highly recommend the Flinders Ranges for a camping trip! Great Scenery and outback hospitality.

Ps dont forget to pack your Project Ten Bags when you go camping! They make it easy to find your stuff, just use a different pattern for each camper!

Did you know that Project Ten bags are now made from recycled plastic bottles? It’s our way of saving plastic from landfill and turning it into something beautiful and reusable.
We launched Project Ten in 2012 to encourage the use of reusable bags. This year, after 18 months of development, the Recycled Range takes the idea further by removing single use plastic bottles from landfill. The bottles are made into fibres which are then woven into fabric. As an extra bonus, this process is also considerably more energy efficient.
In our opinion, choosing a reusable bag is one little thing we can do without being overwhelmingly environmentally conscious. It’s about doing just one little thing at a time to be a little more sustainable - it all begins to add up!
The Recycled Range features three new prints across nine bag styles. Big thanks to Clare at Victor Fox for designing the Flowers and Odd Spot prints!
I thought I would fill you in on an exciting project I have been working on with charity School's a Gift and the very talented contemporary artist Jasmine Mansbridge. Jasmine has kindly donated on of her eye catching designs for me to use on a limited edition range of bags that will be sold exclusively by me and Fenton & Fenton in support of School's a Gift.
School’s A Gift was founded by two Australians and is helping girls & boys living in poverty attend child-friendly community-supported schools in an underserved region of Ethiopia.
All proceeds from the range will go towards School’s A Gift’s education projects and Jasmine will travel to Ethiopia with the organisation in 2019 to experience first-hand the impact of their work and create a large-scale mural with local school students.
]]>I woke this morning to hear the great news that QLD has followed SA's lead and banned single use plastic bags. That is exactly why I designed my highly re-usable shoppers. They fit perfectly in your super market packing area and wipe clean so any spills can be easily eliminated. Combine these with a couple of my insulated totes and you will be doing your bit to help the environment. Easy!

]]>Last year I developed a new size, "the takeaway" or lunch box. During the design process, I considered what would fit in it, so I made sure it was the perfect lunch bag to fit a tupperware lunch box, as well as many of those Systema products available at your local supermarket. I also made sure it fit into the front pocket of their backpack.
As the name suggests, the takeaway can also be used as a toiletries bag or medicine bag when you travel as it fits flat into your suitcase.
They are also easy to clean with a damp cloth.
At this time of year I have almost sold out, however you can find some available at many of my stockists
I hope you love them!

I have started to get a little freaked out that there is only 6 weeks until Christmas. Its that time of year when you look at your calendar and think, there are no free weekends until January! Christmas provides a nice full stop to the year and gives everyone an excuse to plan that last get together for the year. Personally its been a bit of a crazy year for us. We started the year with our house being burgled (literally on New Years Eve!) and then we got our new addition to the family Louis the Boxer. Anyone who has had a new puppy recently can attest that it is like having an extra child in the house, although this one doesn't whinge, he just destroys the garden! We have been on an amazing Vietnamese Holiday with the boys and Project Ten has launched 2 new ranges and a new size bag. Its a nice time to take stock and appreciate that things are moving forward, even when the chaos of life sometimes throws a few curve balls. I hope you can find lots of easy christmas gifts on my site - from the perfect beach bag for the family, easy affordable kris kringle gifts or a cute stocking filler for the kids. Be sure to check out my gift section for some bag and towel bundles.

]]>My spring range has been selling really well so don't delay if you love any of these prints, they are limited edition. The September School holidays are fast approaching, I can't wait for a break in the routine, some sleep ins and maybe some picnics and beach days with the boys.

]]>I have just had a milestone birthday and its made me a little reflective of the journey I have been on so far (and where all those grey hairs and wrinkles have come from). There have been some great highs, lots of tears and frustrations but overall, I am very proud of this little business I have grown so far. It wouldn't have been possible without my amazing husband and extended family who are my biggest inspiration and cheer squad.
I hope to continue to brighten your every day with practical, stylish solutions for you all.
Now where's that anti wrinkle cream?

]]>We have now moved back into our house and things are slowly getting back to normal. The boys have been remarkably resilient in coping with their stressed out parents and are really enjoying the enhanced spaces we have created.
]]>Do you have a whole heap of those ugly supermarket re-usable shopping bags floating around the boot of your car? The NEW Project Ten Shopper is here. Designed to be wiped clean and to fold easily into your insulated totes - these bags will make that shopping trip a bit more bearable. Check them out in the NEW section of my site.
